Protesters Chant ‘Where’s My Car’ In Response To Gov. Fallin’s Comments About Teachers
Written by Alicia F. Luke

There’s no end in sight to the Oklahoma teachers strike…

Protesters at the Oklahoma Capitol chanted “Where’s my car” after Gov. Mary Fallin compared teachers to a “teenage kid that wants a better car.

Mary Fallin signed a measure giving teachers a $6,100 pay raise and then compared their demand for more education funding to “a teenage kid that wants a better car.”

Newsweek:

As well as writing off the teachers’ demands as childish, Governor Fallin also reportedly suggested that anti-fascist group Antifa was involved in the ongoing teachers’ protests, claiming it was among the “outside groups” that were demonstrating alongside educators.
